1. Know who your friends are. Don't tell random people your thoughts on someone else. It will result in disaster.
2. Keep secrets. If someone wants something kept secret, keep it to yourself. If you tell, not only will you ruin the trusting relationship you had with the person who told you, but you will probably end up getting mad at the person who you told.
3. Stick with your true friends until the end . They will be the only lifelines you have in some situations.
4.Avoid arguments. Arguing about something makes everything worse.
5. If an argument occurs, make sure both sides of the story are clear. You don't want people to go along with one story, right? Plus you don't want to make a mistake about what you think happened when it's completely off.
6. Don't lie. Simple enough. Just don't.
7. Don't get involved in anyone else's drama. Just stay out of it, if it's not your problem then don't try to fix things. When two of your best friends are arguing, be there to listen to both sides of the stories, but stay neutral.
how to avoid fighting
1.Keep your distance from the person that wants to fight you.
2.Talk to the person about why he/she wants to fight you, and acknowledge their freedom to want to fight quickly.
3.Back away from the troublemaker
4.Try to ignore any negative things he/she might have to say about you or your mother (or, in very extreme cases, your grandmother) as you're walking away.
5.Don't escalate the argument. The important thing is avoiding a fight, not arguing petty points about the disagreement you two have. Don't insult your opponent or become angry with them, but just be calm and try to convince them that a fight is a bad idea. If necessary, acknowledge that they have a valid argument for whatever it is that's instigating the fight, even if you're in the right.
6.Avoid getting into situations that threaten fights. Keep an eye out for danger signs, like high tension, the presence of alcohol, a late night, or somebody who is upset over something else already, and stay away. Attempt to defuse the situation as soon as it arises.
7.When all else fails, remember that there is no shame in running away -- you did your best. After all, the alternative could be much worse: You could die, get crippled, or end up in jail. Remember what's important to you and how a fight could impact your life.
8.When trying to avoid a fight keep eye contact and also try to keep an eye on the hands. Discuss the problem and apologize for anything you have caused, even if you're right. This is what not to do girls :0
avoiding fighting in relationships or helping them
For some couples fighting is the fire that keeps their relationships alive. It lets them know the other cares. Many are determined to win a battle that never ends. Others try to right the wrongs they have experienced in the past with someone new. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is doomed to failure. When we bring baggage from a former relationship into the present, all new relationships simply become a continuation of the past.
1. Both people have the right to have needs and wants and make requests of each other 2. Even if one person’s needs, wants or request makes the other person uncomfortable or unhappy, it’s still ok to have these needs, wants and requests 3. Both people have the right to be understood, to state their case, to be heard 4. Both people have the right to express their opinion even if it is about each other 5. Even if the conversation makes one of the people uncomfortable or anxious, it still needs to happen if the other person needs it to happen 6. Both people matter 7. The conversation needs to end in a compromise, where each person gets as much as possible of what he or she wants – both people need to work towards a win win 8. If If a partner brings up an issue it is already important, otherwise it would not be brought up. Dismissing, stonewalling, ignoring, minimizing and making promises that are not kept are disruptive to the relationship. 9. Emotions such as anger, anxiety, impatience need to be kept in check, even if it means the couple needs to take a break to calm down and/or talk about the issue in short segments
stop fighting with your loved ones
1.Talk to your family about how you feel. Make sure that everyone is there - not just the family member you've been having trouble with. The conflict affects everyone in the family. Let the person you've been fighting with also have their say.
2.Find someone outside of the conflict to confide in. Make sure that it's someone who will listen to you without taking sides or spreading your confidence. Vent to them when something goes wrong, and let them help you sort out your feelings.
3.Consider going to family therapy. Someone with professional training might be able to find the source of the problem and help solve it. Take it seriously.
4.Try to compromise with the relative(s) you have trouble with. If something that you do annoys them, make an effort to stop. Help them out, and show them that you're genuinely making an effort to get along.
5.As a last resort, consider putting some space between you and your family. If you're old enough to have a job, see if there's a dorm or an apartment you can afford, or ask if you can live with a relative or a family friend, someone that your parents know and trust. Make sure that you're not doing this to hurt or anger your family, and make sure your family knows this. Plan a bit before you present this option, and be prepared to compromise; your parents may want you and your sister (if that's who you're fighting with) to continue family therapy. Ask if you can temporarily leave during the therapy, or if the therapy doesn't work after an agreed amount of time.
I tear my heart open, I sow myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And my scars remind me, that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to fail.
I'm drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
I'm pissed cause you came around
why don't you just go home?
Cause I channeled all your pain
And I can't help you fix yourself
You're making me insane
All I can say is
[Chorus]
I tear my heart open, I sow myself shut
And my weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to fail
I tried to help you once
Against my own advice
I saw you going down
But you never realized
That you're drowning in the water
So I offered you my hand
Compassion's in my nature
Tonight is our last stand
[Chorus]
I'm drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
You shoulda never come around
Why don't you just go home?
Cause you're drowning in the water
And I tried to grab your hand
I left my heart open
But you didn't understand
But you didn't understand
Go fix yourself
I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life
I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life
